Lorenzo Morabito with Jean Toussaint at Half Note in Athens Greece 4-7 April

In these first appearances at Half Note, the unique Jean Toussaint is flanked by three multi-talented musicians, the excellent Emil Hinton on piano, the exceptional Lorenzo Morabito on bass and the fantastic Ben Brown on drums. Along with spring, from April 4th to 7th, great jazz blooms again with the incomparable sounds of Jean Toussaint, another artist who was there when history was being written!

Battersea Jazz Festival 2023

Lorenzo Morabito is an Italian double bass player based in London. Despite his young age, he has quickly become a first-call bass player on the British jazz scene since the pandemic. Lorenzo has been working with some of the top jazz musicians in the UK and Europe, collaborating with renowned artists such as Renato D'Aiello and Giacomo Smith. Lorenzo is a key member of the Nat Steele Quartet, where he performs alongside vibraphonist Nat Steele, pianist Matyas Gayer, and drummer Steve Brown. The quartet pays homage to the Modern Jazz Quartet, performing classic tunes such as "Django," "Softly, As In A Morning Sunrise," and "Bags Groove". His talent and dedication to jazz have earned him a reputation as one of the most promising young bassists in the contemporary jazz scene. https://www.batterseajazzfestival.co.uk/artist/lorenzo-morabito/
